THOMAS E. DUDA

          (June 9, 1950 - August 2, 2011)



Thomas E. Duda, 61, of Latrobe, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, in Conemaugh Hospital.

Born June 9, 1950, in Latrobe, he was a son of the late John J. and Emma J. (Laurenzi) Duda.

Tom was a 35 year employee of Gibson-Thomas Engineering, Latrobe. He was a graduate of Derry Area Senior High School and California University of Pennsylvania. He was an accomplished musician and had played with the former Loco Brothers Band. Tom was a member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers), and was also an organ donor. Tom loved sports and was a former local softball player.

Tom is survived by his wife, Amy L. Doverspike, of Latrobe; a brother, John M. Duda and wife, Linda, of Yardley; two sisters, Carol A. Ruane of Calabash, North Carolina, and Nancy J. Devine and husband, Jerry, of LeRaysville; also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Tom will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug 7th in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 8th in the funeral home with the Rev. David Henderson officiating. Interment to follow in Coles Cemetery, Derry.
